Don't Let the Chaos Win

There is a lot going on right now with the Covid-19 Virus that seems to be sweeping the nation. There have been so many changes to the way we live our lives in this moment in time. The way we live, shop, drive, work, & recreate has been upended into a difficult scenario that no one could have predicted.

If you were to tell me back in December of 2019 that 2020 would have a pandemic around the world that would create havoc on people's health, finances, & way of life; I would have said "Okay whatever." But it is here. So how do we deal with this unknown? What is the answer for this difficult time we face? There are a couple points to ponder that I believe can help us all in this Chaotic time.

First: We have to remember what is important to each of us. This is something that I believe gets put into the background or back burner when life is at it's peak of activities and commitments in a normal atmosphere. Our families, loved ones, and friends are so important to us. You may know someone who has this Covid-19 Virus and is quarantined at the moment. You may know someone who has lost their fight to stay alive and has passed away from this horrifying sickness. This has changed how we look at our day and circumstance. We are keeping ourselves distant from others to protect what we hold dear. We are keeping our homelife a sanctuary that is sanitized and protected from the virus and intrusions that could come. This reminds us of what is important.

Second: Never lose hope and faith in God who created us and His Son Jesus Christ who gave His life over 2000 years ago for all mankind. Some would ask; where is God through this horrible and chaotic time? He is there. He sees and can sympathize with each one of us. God has never failed mankind. We have failed God and mankind. God never leaves us but we leave God in our way of life, medicine, education, and world view when we do not make Him part of these great elements that we are dependent upon. Our mistakes and shortfalls that effect people are not God's mistakes. He has to make decisions for what is best for men, women, & children under the circumstances that billions of people bring upon themselves. God never created us to be robots; but rather we choose to have a relationship with Him freely. God does not want to control your free will but rather you control your free will to have a relationship with Him and His Son. This is where faith and trust play a significant role in our friendship with God. Just as we cannot see the Covid-19 Virus and yet see it's destruction; we cannot see God and yet see His healing and help through Doctors, Nurses, Neighbors, Friends, Family, and People of Faith. He works through people and circumstances. We are his instruments. We are his messengers of faith.

May you find this encouraging and enlightening to not let the Chaos Win!

Read Psalms 46:

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[d] with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
